So, I made my own website… I thought this would be the best time to create a wonderful way to share everything in one place; my research, my experience and my thoughts. As I venture through my academic career, I will showcase my journey, research, and thoughts.
I am currently in my second year of my PhD at Coventry University, and enjoying every minute of it!
Do you ever have that thing that you cannot stop thinking about, you dream about it all night and you can’t wait to carry on in the morning? Well, that’s me and doing research, including my PhD. Some may find it really strange to believe, but I love my job! I love research!
I first got a real taste for academia while working at the University of Southampton as a Senior Research Assistant where I learnt so much. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work there and it all started with volunteering. Eager to continue with a career in academia, I started applying for a PhD. Working full time and writing applications and proposals in lunch breaks and evenings, I was determined! My colleagues at the time were a huge help and I can’t thank them enough. Having already gone through a PhD or nearly finishing theirs, they gave some great advice and tips on how to prepare. After some rejections and tears, I secured a place at Coventry, and here I am!
